After you've logged in, you're taken directly to the discussions directory, where you get an overview of active, upcoming and archived discussions, and how many new messages there are in each. If it's your first time at the site, you see customized welcome and orientation page before you arrive here.

What you're here for! Every discussion can be introduced by a facilitator or moderator, and contain links to background or related information about a topic. Moderator's posts are clearly marked, and you can jump directly to where you left off reading the last time you checked in. And when you have something to say....

This box appears at the bottom of every discussion page. Simply type your comments, preview them to make sure you're saying exactly what you want to say, and click "Post Comment." It's that simple.

You have the option of conducting a poll (or multiple polls) at any time during a discussion. Each member can vote only once, and results are available to you in real time. The site automatically notifies users when a poll is available.

Every member of your discussion group can have a profile accessible to every other member of the group. You're in control of what goes in your profile, and you can change it at any time.
